Our Life’s Journey in Faith

The most important thing we can do as God’s children is learn how to understand, possess, and walk in complete faith:

• Faith is the victory that overcomes the world, the flesh, and the devil (1 John 5:4).
• Faith affects everything we think, say, and do, including our quest for better health.
• Faith is the only way we are able to stand, the only way we are able to live, and the only way we are able to love (2 Cor.1:24; Gal. 5:6).
   

Three Steps to Understanding

When you’re studying the Bible, get the most from each verse by thinking about its meaning in three different ways:

• What its literal meaning is;
• How it applies to society as a whole;
• What it means for, and in, your own life.

Viewing Bible verses from these different perspectives will enrich their meaning for you and help you live their teachings as you go through each day.
 

What Is Faith?

There are, of course, countless ways to answer this question. Here’s a multifaceted answer of unusual power and meaning, as shared in  chapter three of the timeless classic Think and Grow Rich, by Napoleon Hill:

• FAITH is the “eternal elixir” which gives life, power, and action to the impulse of thought.
• FAITH is the starting point of all accumulation of riches.
• FAITH is the basis of all “miracles.”
• FAITH is the only known antidote for FAILURE.
• FAITH is the “chemical” that, when mixed with prayer, gives one direct communication with infinite intelligence.
• FAITH is the element that transforms the ordinary “vibration of thought,” created by the finite human mind, into  its spiritual equivalent.
• FAITH is the only agency through which the cosmic force of infinite intelligence can be harnessed and used by humanity.
